Habitat News

Russell County Habitat For Humanity is proud to announce that we have been deeded a lot at the corner of Jewell and Lincoln streets, just west of the hospital

The owners, Milton (Andy) and Cynthia Galyardt, plan to be in Russell at noon Friday, Sept 26, 2003, at the lot for the deed presentation to Russell County Habitat.

Andy, who was born and raised in Russell, is dedicating the lot to the memory of his parents, Milton and Helene Galyardt.

Milton Sr. was the sheriff of Russell County for many years during the 50's and 60's. Helene worked at the Courthouse. Andy, who resides in Lawrence, has strong ties to Russell and is a licensed realtor.

Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony at noon on Sept 26, 2003 at the corner of Jewel and Lincoln.

This is a great step towards making another Habitat For Humanity family in Russell.
